The Department of Law is approved by Bar Council of India, New Delhi for imparting 3 years Law Courses and 5 years Law Courses from the Academic Session 2007-2008.
The basic idea about establishing the department is:
- To train students for career as professional Advocates in the courts.
- To equip/prepare them for judicial services
- To improve legal competence.
- To train students for career as personnel Managers in organizations.
- To prepare competent personnel for careers in teaching, research and consultancy in legal procedure and problems.
- To extend the frontiers of knowledge in the law through research and development.

The institute shall endeavor to look at law an instrument for social change and also law for the people. | DRESS CODE |
The Department has made the Dress Code Compulsory for all students in the campus to develop the habit of professionalism at the early initial stages. The Department of Law invites distinguished academicians, legal luminaries, administrators and jurists regularly. The Department is committed to provide practical knowledge and exposure by arranging Supreme Court and High Court visits. |

| PHYSICAL FACILITY |
Building: Department of Law is housed in a multi-story ultra modern building located in the heart of Raipur at Jai Stambh Chowk, K.K. Marg, Raipur, Chhatisgarh-492001. The building has ten class rooms, Library, Computer Centre, Moot Court, Conference Hall, Common Rooms for boys and girls, Director room, faculty room and a well equipped administrative office. |

| LIBRARY |
The Department of Law has a very rich Library having a collection of about 5000 volumes of books of Indian as well as foreign authors. It also subscribes Nine journals, Supreme Court and High Courts judgments and reports. For the benefit of the society the library facilities are also extended to judicial officers, practicing advocates and law officers working in various disciplines. |

| COMPUTER CENTRE |
We in our institute strongly believe that Internet is the treasure and ocean of worldwide information and it has totally changed the way of people to access the required information and in continuation the Department of Law has a fully equipped computer centre to cater the computing needs of all students and training requirements of several basic computer-literacy courses. The centre is fully equipped with 15 nos. Hi-tech Pentium-4 Computers with broad band Internet facilities. All the landmark judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and High Courts have been also computerized to the ready reference for the benefit of our students and faculty members. |

| MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS/EXAMINATIONS |
The medium of instructions/examination of all the courses will be English/Hindi. |

| TEACHING METHODOLOGY |
The teaching methodology adopted at the Department covers participative Classroom teaching, seminars, assignments, extension lectures, computer application, moot courts and clinical and legal works etc. The clinical method of legal education is another innovative method of teaching adopted by the Department of Law which integrates actual field work with class room instruction. The Department will also be inviting distinguished legal luminaries, academicians of high order, administrators and jurists from time to time. They will deliver extension lectures so that the students get necessary exposure. |

| LEGAL AID CLINIC AND CONSUMER PROTECTION CELL |
The institute has concrete plans to set up a Legal Aid Clinic and Consumer Protection Cell in its premises for the benefit of needy, poor, women and children and the same will be run & managed by the teachers and students of the department of Law. This facility will be quite helpful for those needy people who find it difficult to approach to the professional Lawyers. The Clinic Remains open during the teaching hours of the Deptt. It will also arrange Workshops and Legal Awareness Camps and Para legal Training Programmes to spread the knowledge of Law among the common people. This will also help our students to get practical exposure and enhance their professional skills. |

| EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES |
The Institute emphasizes on overall personality development of the students by participating in extra-curricular activities. The students are encouraged to participate in debates, declamations, dramas, literary and cultural activities, Law Quiz Competitions and Moot Court Competitions. The institute will encourage students to organize and participate in various events and activities organized from time to time. |

| PUBLICATION |
The Department of law, Kawa Global Institute, will soon start publishing a legal journals titled “KGI LAW REVIEW” and KGI Indian Law journals which will include articles, notes and comments and book review of high standard for the benefit of research and better understanding of contemporary developments in law. |

| THE ADVISORY COMMMITTEE |
An Advisory Committee consisting of professors and Readers has been formed with the objectives to help in the overall development of the Department. The Director/ head of Department will hold the meetings as and when he considers it necessary. |

The department of law has appointed full time well experienced and qualified faculty drawn from the academic / practicing advocates as per Bar Council of India /Affiliating university norms. |

| FURNITURE |
The Department of Law has sufficient furniture and other equipment for Class Rooms, Library, Compute Centre, Faculty Room, HOD Room, Administrative Room, Common rooms for boys and girls. |

| RESERVATIONS |
Both the courses are full time regular courses, Reservation of seats in both the courses will be (if any) as per C.G. State Govt. /Affiliating university norms. |
